Hello my name is Brooke Mills I am a technician at Affordable Pet Hospital. Ever since I could remember I have had a passion for working with animals. I have worked as a technician now for 3 years and loved every second of it,  

As a young girl I lived on a ranch here in Bakersfield, Growing up I seemed to find anything and everything that needed help. Thankfully my parents supported all my efforts. I learned quickly that I wanted to continue helping animals and made it my career goal in life.  

If  I’m not At work I’m usually riding my horse, Fritz  with my wonderful dogs Lucy and Bear at my side. I have been riding horses since I was 4 years old and truly love them. The bond I have, between my horse and I, Is irreplaceable, he is now 8 years old and he has been in my life since the day he was born. I was there to help in enter in to the world.  He is truly one of the biggest blessings in my life.   

 A career in Veterinary medicine there is a great challenge .Animals cannot tell us where it hurts or what happened therefore, we have to connect the dots. To me, being a good technician is being patient, hopeful and kind. Animals provide the greatest joy in life. There ready for that jog in the morning or that swim in the pool, or that oh so wonderful game of fetch that we all love. Think about it who’s always there at the door to greet you when you get home? who’s always there to comfort you when you having a bad day? Whether it’s a lick on the cheek a wag of a tail, or a purr from the heart, animals love with all they have. So with that said, I know I speak for more than one person here at Affordable Pet Hospital, when I say “while your pet is here we love them as our own”.
